COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE LEVY CHARGING SCHEDULE NOTICE OF ADOPTION
The Community Infrastructure Levy England and Wales: Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 (as amended) Regulation 25: Approval and Publication of a Charging Schedule
In accordance with Regulations 25 of the Community Infrastructure Levy England and Wales Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 (as amended) 'The CIL Regulations' notice is hereby given that the Swindon Borough Community Infrastructure Levy 'CIL' Charging Schedule was formally adopted by a meeting of the Full Council on 26th March 2015.
The adopted CIL Charging Schedule is to take effect on Monday 6th April 2015.
CIL is a new mandatory charge on development in the Borough in accordance with the adopted CIL Charging Schedule, its associated documents and the relevant legislative and regulatory framework.
The CIL Charging Schedule was the subject of an examination in public conducted by the Council's independently appointed Examiner Mr Mike Fox BA (HONS) DIPTP MRTPI, of the Planning Inspectorate. The Examiner's Report was published dated 5th February 2015 and the recommended modification has been included in the adopted Charging Schedule.
A paper copy of the adopted CIL Charging Schedule, the adoption report and the Examiner's Report is available for public inspection at Swindon Direct Reception, Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JG (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) and also in Swindon Libraries (excluding Old Town Library) during their normal opening hours.
An electronic copy of the adopted CIL Charging Schedule, the adoption report and the Examiner's Report along with further information on the operation of CIL is available via the Council's website at www.swindon.gov.uk/cil.
