Consultation on the Designation of The Parish of Stratton St Margaret Neighbourhood Area
The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 Part 2 (6)
Consultation on the Designation of The Parish of Stratton St Margaret Neighbourhood Area
Stratton St Margaret Parish Council has submitted an application to revise the designated Stratton St Margaret Neighbourhood Area to accordance with the recent Parish boundary review. The revised area will remove the new Parish of Nythe from the existing designated area.
The revised area will become the Neighbourhood Area for Stratton St Margaret Parish Council for the purpose of making a Neighbourhood Development Plan.
Swindon Borough Council is conducting the consultation on behalf of Stratton St Margaret Parish Council, as required by the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 Part 2(6).
Representations received will help to inform the decision on whether the revised area can be designated as a "Neighbourhood Area". If designated the Parish Council would then be able to continue to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan for the area, without the inclusion of the Parish of Nythe. Once adopted, the Neighbourhood Development Plan would help guide the future development of the area.
The Neighbourhood Area Application is available for a six week consultation from Thursday 9th April 2015 until Thursday 21st May 2015 at 5pm.
The documentation is available for public inspection at Swindon Borough Council One-Stop-Shop, Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 1JH (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) and can be viewed at Upper Stratton Library and the Parish Council Offices, during normal opening hours of the library and the office. Or can be viewed on the Swindon Borough Council Website at www.swindon.gov.uk/neighbourhoodplanning, or by contacting the planning department on 01793 466513 or emailing forwardplanning@swindon.gov.uk.
Representations should be sent in writing to Planning Service, Freepost SCE5251, Swindon Borough Council, 5th Floor, Wat Tyler House West, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 1JH to arrive no later than Thursday 21st May 2015 at 5pm. You may also fax your response to arrive no later than the time and date above on 01793 466484 or by email to forwardplanning@swindon.gov.uk no later than the above time and date
