NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL
BRIDLEWAYS 79 WROUGHTON AND 124 SWINDON ORDER 2015
On 16 September 2015 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to create a public bridleway from OS grid reference SU14480 82154, at the foot of the southern incline of the motorway footbridge known as Blackhorse Bridge, in the parish of Wroughton, leading north for 240 metres across the bridge, then west for 100 metres to OS grid reference SU14419 82414, at Eyam Road, East Wichel, in the unparished area of Swindon. All distances are approximate.
A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at The One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £15.00.
The order comes into force on 28 October 2015, but if a person aggrieved by the order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained within it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, that person may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 42 days of the date of this notice make an application to the High Court.
