Notice of Public Examination Hearing for the South Marston Village Neighbourhood Plan

and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended) Localism Act 2011 (as amended)

Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012 (as amended)

Swindon Borough Council hereby gives notice of a public Examination Hearing for the South Marston Village Neighbourhood Plan submitted for examination under Regulation 17 of the Town and Country Planning (Neighbourhood Planning) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

The South Marston Village Neighbourhood Plan was submitted for Independent Examination on 22nd March 2016 following a six week consultation from 28th January until 10th March 2016. In accordance with Paragraph 9 of Schedule 4B to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 the Independent Examiner has decided that a public hearing is required for the purpose of receiving oral representations about a particular issue raised during the consultation on the plan prior to the examination.

The Public Examination Hearing will take place at South Marston Village Hall on Thursday 8th September from 10:00.

It should be noted that any member of the public may attend the Examination Hearing however only prescribed persons may make oral representations, in accordance with Paragraph 9(3) of Schedule 4B to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

Following the Hearing the Examiner will issue a report recommending that the plan is submitted to a referendum; that specified modifications are made to the draft plan and that the modified plan is submitted to referendum; or that the plan is refused.
