Swindon Borough Council - Notice of Consultation on the Highworth Neighbourhood Development Plan

The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended) Part 5 Regulation 16.

Notice of Consultation on the Highworth Neighbourhood Development Plan


Swindon Borough Council hereby gives notice that Highworth Town Council as the qualifying body has prepared and submitted a neighbourhood development plan proposal under Part 5 Regulation 15 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

Highworth Town Council has prepared the 'Highworth Neighbourhood Plan' which sets out the vision for the future of the area and a number of planning policies which, if made by Swindon Borough Council, will form part of the Development Plan.

Copies of the Highworth Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documentation are available to view on the Swindon Borough Council website: www.swindon.gov.uk/highworthconsultation or at http://www.highworthtowncouncil.gov.uk/

Representations on the plan are invited during the statutory consultation period which will run for six weeks from Thursday 20th October to Thursday 1st December 2016. All representations received will be available to view publicly.

Representations should be sent in writing to Forward Planning, Swindon Borough Council, 5th Floor Wat Tyler West, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH. You may also email your representations to forwardplanning@swindon.gov.uk. All representations received should arrive no later than 5pm on Thursday the 1st December 2016.

Following this statutory 6-week consultation period, within which representations can be made, Swindon Borough Council will submit these with the Highworth Neighbourhood Plan proposal for Independent Examination.

Please note that any representations made may include a request to be notified of the local planning authority's decision under Regulation 19 (whether to make the plan) in relation to the Highworth Neighbourhood Plan.
