WROUGHTON SPEED LIMITS

THE SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (BRIMBLE HILL, WROUGHTON) (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2011
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council proposes to make the above Orders under Section 84 (1) and (2) of the Road and Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to provide:
A 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON THE FOLLOWING ROADS:
Whittingham Drive - Full length
Canberra Road - Full Length
Nocton Road - Full Length
Halton Crescent - Full Length
Parsloes Close - Full Length
Normandy Road - Full Length
Faulklands Road - Full Length
Rectory Close - Full Length
Headley Close - Full Length
Cosford Close - Full length
A 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON THE FOLLOWING ROAD:
Brimble Hill - from a point of 20 metres south of the extended kerb line of Beranburh field for a distance of 159metres in a northerly direction.
Introduction of a restricted road along part of the unnamed road (Brimble Hill) and Comet Way
The effect of this will be a speed limit of 30 mph on the following sections of roads
Brimble Hill (unclassified) from a point 636 metres south of the southern kerbline of the junction with Hodson Road (B4005) for a distance of 549 metres
Comet Way (unclassified) from a point of 20 metres west of the extended kerb line of Whittingham. Drive for a distance of 288metres in an easterly direction.
A copy of the draft Orders, plans and statements of reason may be inspected at Customer Services, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday, (extended hours on Thursday until 8 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm) and online on www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation
Objections to the proposed Orders should be made in writing to reach the undersigned, quoting reference (LM/Whittingham Drive area) by no later than 16th June 2011
