PUBLIC NOTICE

SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (HAY LANE AND HOOK STREET, SWINDON)
(SWINDON BIG ARTS DAY)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) ORDER 2011

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council in pursuance of the provisions of Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intends to make an Order the effect of which will be:

Road Name - Hay Lane
Restriction - One way traffic from at the junction with the road leading to Lydiard Park to Sleaford Close travelling in a south direction
Alternative Route - via Hay Lane, Grange Park Way, Whitehill Way, Tewkesbury Way and Tregoze Way.
Restriction Times - From 10 am to 10 pm on the 9th July 2011

Road Name - Hook Street
Restriction - One way traffic from its junction with Bess Road, travelling in a north direction up to the Borough Boundary.
Alternative Route - via Greatfields which lead to Coped Roundabout, Swindon Road (Wootton Bassett), Great Western Way and Whitehill Way
Restriction Times - From 10 am to 10 pm on the 9th July 2011

Exemptions:

Hay Lane – Access to be maintained for public transport, emergency services, bicycles and pedestrians.
Hook Street – Access to be maintained for vehicles and pedestrians.

The Order is required to facilitate the Swindon Big Arts Day at Lydiard Park on the Saturday 9th July 2011.
