Swindon Borough Council 20 MPH Speed Limits

THE SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (OKUS, SWINDON) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2011

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 8 June 2011 Swindon Borough Council made above Order under Section 84 (1) and (2) of the Road and Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to provide:

THE 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT WILL INCORPORATE THE FOLLOWING ROADS:

The Mall - For its entire length
Goddard Avenue - For its entire length
Roman Crescent - For its entire length
Field Rise - For its entire length
Belmont Crescent - For its entire length
Quarry Road - For its entire length
Commonweal Road - For its entire length
Grovelands Avenue - For its entire length
Avenue Road - For its entire length
Bradford Road - For its entire length
Ripley Road - For its entire length
Lethbridge Road - For its entire length
Mill Lane - The cul-de-sac opposite Willow Glen

This Order will be operative from the 15 June 2011 and is a continuation of The Swindon Borough Council (Okus) (20 mph) Experimental Order 2009 which has been in force for 18 months from 18 December 2009.

A copy of the Order and plan may be inspected at One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during opening hours from 13 June 2011 to 20 July 2011.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from (8 June 2011) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
