NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL

FOOTPATH 273 SWINDON ORDER 2011

On 22 June 2011 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish Footpath 273 in the unparished area of Swindon, commencing at OS grid reference SU41567 18694 at Jefferies Avenue, and leading west-northwest for approximately 35 metres to OS grid reference SU41564 18695 at Cricklade Road.

A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map may be seen free of charge at the One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, between 8.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.

The order comes into force on 5 August 2011, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any Regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, that person may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 42 days of the date of this notice make an application to the High Court.
