NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER

CYCLE TRACKS ACT 1984

SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL

FOOTPATHS 2 & 10 SWINDON CYCLE TRACKS ORDER 2011

On 22 June 2011 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under Section 3 of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to designate Footpath 2 at Jefferies Avenue in the unparished area of Swindon, running from OS grid reference SU41583 18691 to OS grid reference SU41588 18689, and a length of Footpath 10 at Jefferies Avenue and Wheeler Avenue in the unparished area of Swindon, running from OS grid reference SU41588 18689 to OS grid reference SU41594 18695, as a cycle track.

A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map may be inspected free of charge at the One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, between 8.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.

The order comes into force on 5 August 2011 but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any Regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under subsection 6 of Section 3 of the Act, within 42 days from the date of this order make an application to the High Court.
