SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEWKESBURY WAY FOOTBRIDGE AND SHAW RIDGE FOOTBRIDGE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE)
ORDER 2011

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council intend to make an Order under relevant sections of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the temporary closure of Tewkesbury Way and Shaw Ridge footbridges.

Alternative Route for the Shaw Ridge Footbridge closure is via Romney Way, Teeswater Close, the cyclepath under Ramleaze Drive, the subway over Tewkesbury Way, Walter Close, across Shaw Ridge linear park then via the cyclepath to the other end of the footbridge.

Alternative Route for the Tewkesbury Way Footbridge closure is via Westlea Drive, the via cycletrack to Ashington Way, then via Pevensey Way, Stokesay Drive and via the cyclepath adjacent to Affleck Close to the other end of the footbridge.

The Order is to be made on the 20 July 2011 for 18 months but the closure will only be in force during the works are to take place which should begin on the 25 July 2011 and end on 28 August 2011.

The Order is required to enable major maintenance works to the footbridges.
