SPEED LIMITS - KINGSDOWN ROAD, SWINDON

SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (KINGSDOWN ROAD, SWINDON) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2011 and SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (KINGSDOWN ROAD, SWINDON) (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2011

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 20 July 2011 Swindon Borough Council made the above Orders under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:

The introduction of 30 mph Speed Limit on the following length of road:

Kingsdown Road From a point 400 metres north east of its junctionwith Hyde Road for a distance of 125.4 metres in a north easterly direction.

A 40 mph Speed Limit will apply on the follow length of road:

Kingsdown Road From a point 525.4 metres north east of its junction with Hyde Road to a point 57.7 metres west of its junction with the A361 Highworth Road.

The revocation of the Borough of Swindon (40 mph Speed Limit) (No. 1) Order 1971 Amendment Order (No. 1) 2003.

The Order will be operative as of 25 July 2011 and a copy of the sealed Orders and plan may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during opening hours.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 20 July 2011 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
