SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (RESTRICTED ROAD) ORDER 2008

AMENDMENT ORDER (NO. 1) 2011 and SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (MILNE ROAD, SWINDON) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2011

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 20 July 2011 Swindon Borough Council proposes to make the above Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be for:

Introduction of a restricted road status with a speed limit of 30 mph on the following length of roads:

B4006 Highworth Road From a point 193 metres north of its junction with Delamere Drive to a point 28 metres south of its junction with the A361 (Rat Trap).

Milne Road From the junction with Honda North for a distance of 17.2 metres in a westerly direction.

Introduction of a 40 mph Speed limit on the following length of the following road:

Milne Road From a point of 17. 2 metres to the junction of Honda North

The Order will be operative as of 25 July 2011 and a copy of the sealed Orders and plan may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during opening hours.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 20 July 2011 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
