Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation) Order 2010 (Variation No.9) Order 2011

Notice is HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council proposes to make an Order under the provisions of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be for the: -

The revocation of the existing ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restriction on Farnsby Street from its junction with Faringdon Road to its junction with Market Street.

The changes to the waiting restrictions on Farnsby Street North Side will as follow:

Introduction of ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restriction from the junction with Faringdon Road for the distance of 113 metres up to the proposed bus stop (No 1),

Prohibition of parking with the exception of buses and licensed hackney carriages during specified times only on (the bus stop (No. 1)/taxi rank) from a point 113 metres in an easterly direction from its junction with Faringdon Road for a distance of 15 metres,

Introduction of ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ from the above proposed bus stop which is at a point of 128 metres for a distance of 16.5 metres up to the proposed bus stop (No. 2) on Farnsby Street,

Prohibition of parking with the exception of buses and licensed hackney carriages during the specified times only (on the bus stop(No. 2)/taxi rank) from a point 143 metres in an easterly direction from its junction with Faringdon Road for a distance of 23 metres, Introduction of ‘No Waiting At Any Time‘ from the proposed bus stop (No 2) at a point 176.2m to the junction of Market Street, also include the full length of the exit of the multi story car park.

The introduction of ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ Farnsby Street South Side for the full length from the junction of Farringdon to the junction of Market Street. and on Farnsby Street South Side access to Milton Street Back way on both sides from the junction of Farnsby Street for a distance of 4m approx to the existing ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction.

A copy of the draft Order, plan and Statement of Reasons for the proposal may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street during opening hours and available online on www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation.

Objections or representations to the proposed Order should be made in writing to reach the undersigned, quoting reference (za/V09/Farnsby Street) by no later than 26th August 2011.
