LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1976 – SECTION 23 (HACKNEY CARRIAGE STANDS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council intends to appoint Hackney Carriage Stands pursuant to Section 23 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 on public highway within the borough as follow:

Farnsby Street: From a point 113 metres in an easterly direction from its junction with Farringdon Road for a distance of 15 metres, Number of Hackney Carriages Permitted: 3 Hours of Operation: 11:45pm to 5:00 am Monday to Sunday.

Farnsby Street: From a point 143 metres in an easterly direction from its junction with Farringdon Road for a distance of 23 metres. Number of Hackney Carriages Permitted: 4, Hours of Operation: 11:45 pm to 5:00 am Monday to Sunday.

Gloucester Street: From a point 5 metres from Station Road for a distance of 29 metres towards Milford Street. Number of Hackney Carriages Permitted: 6 Hours of Operation: 24 hours Monday to Sunday.

Gloucester Street From a point 10.4 metres from Milford Street for a distance of 25 metres towards Station Road. Number of Hackney Carriages Permitted:: 5 24 hours Monday to Sunday.

A copy of the proposal and plans may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours.

Objections or representations to the proposed notice should be made in writing to reach the undersigned, quoting reference (ZA/Hackney Carriage Stands/Farnsby Street/Gloucester Street) within 28 days of the publication of this notice
