SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, SWINDON) (SWINDON HALF MARATHON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2011

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council in pursuance of the provisions of Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, propose to make an Order the effect of which will be:

Temporary Closure of the following lengths of roads:

Pipers Way: the section between Croft Road and Nationwide Roundabout, Alternative Route: via Croft Road, Newport Street, Marlborough Road Start Date & Time:: 04:00 hours on 8 October 2011 End Date & Time: 22:00 hours on 9 October 2011

Pipers Way the section between Nationwide Roundabout and Marlborough Road Alternative Route: via Croft Road, Newport Street and Marlborough Road Start Date & Time:: 9.00 hours on 8 October 2011 End Date & Time:22:00 hours on 9 October 2011

B4006 Marlborough Road (westbound between Queens Drive and Pipers Way) Alternative Route: via Queens Drive, Drove Road, High Street and Marlborough Road. Start Date & Time:: 04:00 hours on 9 October 2011 End Date & Time:22:00 hours on 9 October 2011

Day House Lane (entire length to Medbourne Lane incorporating Meadow Way) via Marlborough Road and Badbury Road Bericot Lane (entire length)Alternative Route: via Marlborough Road and Badbury Lane

Badbury Lane (entire length) The Ridgeway (from A346 to Shepherds Rest Crossroads) Alternative Route via A346, A419, Pack Hill, Wanborough, Callas Hill and vice versa.

Hill Farm Road, The Hollow (Ham Road to The Ridgeway) Ham Road and Bell Lane (Hill Farm Road to B4192) B4192 (A419 Commonhead Roundabout to Aldbourne) via A419, A346, Aldbourne Road and vice versa. Medbourne Road (B4192 to Badbury Lane) The road from the A346 Plough Hill into Badbury Village The unclassified road from Badbury village due south to the intersection with The Ridgeway. Temporary One Way Traffic:

The Order is required to facilitate the Swindon Half Marathon and will be operative on Saturday 8 October 2011 and Sunday 9 October 2011.
