SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL AND WILTSHIRE COUNCIL (HOOK STREET, HAY LANE AND TREGOZE WAY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION) ORDER 2011

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Council in pursuance of the provisions of Section 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make the above Order the effect of which will be:

Tregoze Way to be closed from Tewkesbury Way to past its junction with Wilmot Close up to Hay Lane.

Hay Lane to be closed from Tregoze Way to before its junction with Sleaford Close.

Alternative Route for Tregoze Way and Hay Lane via Tewkesbury Way, Whitehill Way and Hook Street.

Hook Street to be restricted to one way traffic in a north-westerely direction from its junction with Bess Road to the junction with Hook.

Alternative Routes via Hook which leads to Coped Roundabout, Swindon Road (Wootton Bassett), Great Western Way and Whitehill Way.

The above restrictions do not apply to Emergency Services Vehicles, (in the event of an emergency), Buses (in the provision of a local service), and residents of The Prinnels and Hook Street.

The Order is required to facilitate the safe passage of traffic to the BBC Event at Lydiard Park on the Sunday 18 September 2011 from the hours of 6am to 7pm.
