NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL FOOTPATHS 9 SOUTH MARSTON AND 9 STANTON FITZWARREN ORDER 2011

On 17th August 2011 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a length of Footpath 9 at South Marston Park in the parish of Stanton Fitzwarren, running from OS grid reference SU41835 18954 to SU41845 18930 on to a line running from OS grid reference SU41840 18956 to SU41843 18930; and from OS grid reference SU41845 18920 to SU41847 18918 on to a line running from OS grid reference SU41845 18920 via SU41845 18918 to SU41847 18918;

and to divert a length of Footpath 9 at South Marston Park in the parish of South Marston, running from OS grid reference SU41845 18930 to SU41845 18920 on to a line running from OS grid reference SU41843 18930 to SU41845 18920.

A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map may be inspected free of charge at the One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.

The order comes into force on 4th October 2011, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 42 days from the date of this order make an application to the High Court.
