75th Anniversary of the Death of The Rev. William Pitt

November 21st 2011 marks the 75th anniversary of the death of The Rev. William Pitt, the founder of Swindon Town Football Club.

For the past 75 years The Rev “Billy” Pitt has been resting in his grave at All Saints Church Liddington but over the years his grave has been allowed to fall into a state of disrepair.

Recognising the importance of heritage and the club’s beginnings, Swindon Town FC has arranged for the grave stone to be restored and a service of “Re-Dedication” will be held at All Saints Church in Liddington at 11:30 hrs November 21st 2011.
