Introduction of Limited Waiting Times - Various Roads - Swindon Borough Council

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 16th November 2011 Swindon Borough Council varied the provisions of the above-mentioned Experimental Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the modification is to:

Introduce Limited Waiting 1 Hour Mon-Sat 9am-6pm No Return Within 1 Hour Raggett Street west side (rear of 123 Stafford Street)

Introduce Limited Waiting 2 Hours Mon-Sat 9am-6pm No Return Within 1 Hour Lansdown Rd, north side, near junction with Eastcott Hill (rear of 53 Eastcott Road) Globe St, west side, near junction with Lansdown Rd (rear of 84 Lansdown Road) Savernake St, east side, near junction with Pembroke St (rear of 34 Pembroke Street)

Introduce No Waiting At Any Time (double yellow lines) Swindon Road – north side adjacent 54-55 Swindon Road

The modification will come into effect on Monday 28th November

A copy of the modification Order, together with copies of the experimental Order and plan showing the extent of each restriction on each of the above streets may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours or online at www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation.

Any person wishing to make representations whether to object or support the Order before it is made permanent , must do so in writing quoting the reference (TRO/Experimental Mod1/Zones D+E) specifying the grounds on which they are made, by the revised date of 28th May 2012.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 16th November 2011 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
