Swindon Borough Council - Waiting and Loading Restrictions, Eldene, Swindon

Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation) Order 2011 (Variation N0.1) Order 2012

Notice is HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council proposes to make an Order under the provisions of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be as follow:

Introduction of ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restriction Eldene Drive At the roundabout on Eldene Drive on both sides up to the first junction with Stubsmead.

Adjacent to the second junction with Stubsmead on both sides.

Adjacent to both junctions with Bowleymead on both sides.

Adjacent to both junctions with Islandmead on both sides.

Adjacent to the junction with Elmore on both sides.

For a short distance on the following roads around the following junctions heads on Stubsmead both junctions, Bowleymead both junctions, Islandmead both junctions and Elmore.

A plan is available upon request which shows the extent of the restrictions.

This Order also proposes to revoke the ‘no waiting at any time’ on Eldene Drive, Stubsmead, Bowleymead, Islandmead and Elmore and the ‘No Waiting Monday to Friday 8.30 to 6.30pm’ on Bowleymead from the Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation) Order 2011.

These restrictions have currently been suspended under an Experimental Order which has been in operation since September 2010 until March 2012.

The reason for this proposal is to restriction parking on the junctions to prevent obstruction and easier accessibility. A copy of the Order and relevant documentation for the proposal may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, and online at www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulationObjections or representations to the proposed Order should be made in writing to reach the undersigned, quoting reference (ZA/VO1/Eldene) by no later than 1st March 2012.
