Prohibition of Driving – Monday to Friday - Cricklade Road /Queensfield, Swindon

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 8th February 2012 Swindon Borough Council made an Experimental Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to be operative from the 20th February 2012 for a duration of 12 months. The effect of the Order is to impose the following restriction;

Prohibition of Driving – Monday to Friday

7.30am – 9.30am Cricklade Road into Queensfield

4.30pm – 6.30pm Queensfield into Cricklade Road

The normal exemptions to emergency vehicles and vehicles being used in the service of a local authority apply.

This experimental order is to address residents concern about through traffic in Queensfield.

A copy of the Order and plan may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours or online on www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation

The Experimental Order has been made to allow for an assessment of the changes before a decision is taken to make it permanent.

Any person wishing to make representations whether to object or support the Order before it is made permanent must do so in writing quoting the reference (TRO/Experimental/Queensfield) specifying the grounds on which they are made within 6 months of this experimental Order coming into force or if the Order is subsequently varied or modified within 6 months of the variation or modification coming into force.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 8th February 2012 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
