Notice of Confirmation of an Order - Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981

Swindon Borough Council Swindon Borough Definitive Map and Statement Footpath 14 Swindon Modification Order 2012 On 25 April 2012 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the Highworth Rural District Council definitive map and statement by adding to them the footpath to be known as Footpath 14 Swindon, from Tiverton Road at OS grid reference SU415436 186232 to Cricklade Road at OS grid reference SU415482 186330, due to the discovery by the highway authority of evidence which shows that a public right of way subsists over that land which is not shown on the map and statement.

A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map may be seen at the One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon from 8.30am to 6pm Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the order and map, costing £15.00, may be purchased there.

The order comes into force on 12 June 2012, but if a person aggrieved by the order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, that person may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 of the Act, within 42 days from the date of this notice make an application to the High Court.

Dated 1 May 2012
