PUBLIC NOTICE
SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING SCHEME - LANSDOWN ROAD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with the provisions of Section 90 A-I of the Highways Act 1980 and relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the Council proposes to:
Implement speed control tables at 2 locations on Lansdown Road at 58 metres east from the junction with Kent Road and 203 metres west from the junction with Eastcott Road. These will measure 6 metres long across the width of the carriageway from a point 0.2 metres from the kerb and raised to a maximum height of 75 mm.
Lansdown Road to be subject to a 20 mph speed limit which will be indicated by roundels and gateway signs.
The traffic calming scheme is being proposed to reduce vehicular traffic speed and help promote pedestrian safety
A copy of this notice and plan is available for inspection at the Council's One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours.
Representations to the scheme should be made in writing to reach the undersigned, quoting reference (za/traffic calming/Lansdown Rd) stating the grounds on which they are made by no later than 9 December 2013.
