Swindon Borough Council (various roads) speed limits
NOTICE IS GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council made the above Orders under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be as follow:
Lengths of roads subject to 30 mph Speed Limit CI49, Icknield Way From a point approx. 287 metres west of its junction with (Bishopstone) West End Lane to a point approx. 47 metres north east of its junction with New Town Lane C149 From a point approx. 125 metres north of its western (Hinton Parva) junction with Bodyhorse Hill to a point approx. 143 metres north of its junction with Hatchet Hill.
Length of road subject to a 50 mph Speed Limit in the Parish of Bishopstone C149 Hinton Hill, Hinton Springs & Icknield Way From a point approx. 143 metres north of its junction with Hatchett Hill to a point approx. 287 metres west of its junction with West End Lane. C3 at Hinton Springs From its junction with C149 at Hinton Springs to a point approx. 32 metres north of that junction.
The following orders are to be revoked and those roads not subject to a change in the length of speed limit will be enacted in the above orders. The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Bishopstone) (30 mph Speed Limit) Order 1992 and The Swindon Borough Council (Hinton Parva) 30 MPH Speed Limit Order 2003.
The Order will be operative as of 10 December 2012 and a copy of the sealed Order and plan may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during opening hours from 6 December 2012 to 17 January 2013.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 5 December 2012 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
