Notice is HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council proposes to make an Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be: -

To amend The Borough of Swindon (Fee Paying Off-Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2003 as follow:

1. To include the provision of an Old Town Central Zone for residents in High Street, Wood Street, Newport Street and Devizes Road to purchase a permit to park any time in the Planks Long Stay Car Park at £625 per year or to park between 6pm and 9am only at a cost of £150 per year.

2 To change the use of the Regent Close car park from all classes vehicles to disabled persons vehicles which display a disabled blue badge.

3. The weight of classes of vehicles to be changed from 1.5 tonne to 2 tonne.

4. Making administrative changes to delete the car parks which have closed down or are no longer managed by the Councils Parking Services.

5. Introducing alternative methods of payments for parking in the car parks.

A copy of the draft Order and any relevant documents may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours for 21 days from 11 January 2013.

Objections to the proposed Order should be made in writing to reach the undersigned, quoting reference (za/fee paying/amd no 1/ 2013) by no later than 31 January 2013.
