Swindon Borough Council (New Road, Chiseldon) (30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2012

NOTICE IS GIVEN that on the 30 January 2013 Swindon Borough Council made the above Orders under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be: Reduction in the speed limit from 50mph to 40mph on the A346 Marlborough Road between the southbound exit of Junction 15 for a distance of 1474 metres. to up to 50 metres south of its junction with the Ridgeway.

Reduction in the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph on New Road, Chiseldon from the junction with the A346 Marlborough Road to its junction with Mays Lane.

The following Orders are to be revoked: The County of Wiltshire (A. 345 Marlborough Road, Chiseldon) 50 mph Speed Limit Order 1981 and The County of Wiltshire (New Road, Chiseldon) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 1992 and The County of Wiltshire (New Road, Chiseldon) (Restrited Roads) Order 1993/

The Order will be operative as of 11 March 2013 and a copy of the sealed Order and plan may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during opening hours for up to 6 weeks from 30 January 2013.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 30 January 2013 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
