LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1976 - SECTION 23 (HACKNEY CARRIAGE STANDS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council intends to appoint Hackney Carriage Stands pursuant to Section 23 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 on public highway within the borough as follow:

Street: Victoria Road (East Side)
Location: From a point 7 metres north of the junction with Union Row for a distance of approx. 35 metres in a northerly direction 7
Number of Hackney Carriages Permitted: 7
Hours of Operation: 8.30pm to 4am (7 days a week)

Street: Hoopers Place (South Side)
Location: From a point opposite the western boundary wall to the entrance to the pay and display car parking for a distance of 36 metres.
Number of Hackney Carriages Permitted: 7
Hours of Operation: 8.30pm to 4am (7 days a week)

Street: Davis Place
Location: From a point 5 metres south of rear of Sainsbury's supermarket for a distance of 21 metres approx
Number of Hackney Carriages Permitted: 4
Hours of Operation: 24 hours Monday to Sunday

A copy of the proposal and plans may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours.

Objections or representations to the proposed notice should be made in writing to reach the undersigned, quoting reference (ZA/Hackney Carriage Stands/Various) within 28 days of the publication of this notice.
