SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS AND PARKING PLACES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2014) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER (NO.5) 2014

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 3 December 2014 Swindon Borough Council made an Experimental Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to be operative from the 10 December 2014 for the duration of 18 months.

The effect of the Order is to impose a variation to the existing residents parking and waiting restrictions on the Streets listed below located in Resident Parking Zone K. The variations will be indicated by signs and lines on the street

Dean Street, George Street, Joliffe Street, Butterworth Street, Ford Street, Nelson Street, Newburn Crescent and Birch Street.

Introduction of "No Waiting at any time" restriction on the following service alleys for the full length and on both sides at the rear of the following streets:

Dean Street, George St. Butterworth St, Ford Street, Newburn Crescent, Birch Street and Park Lane

A copy of the Order and plan showing the extent of each restriction on each of the above streets may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours or online on www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation.
The Experimental Order has been made to allow for an assessment of the changes before a decision is taken to make it permanent.

Any person wishing to make representations whether to object or support the Orders before they are made permanent must do so in writing quoting the reference (TRO/Experimental/Zones K) specifying the grounds on which they are made within 6 months of the Experimental Orders coming into force or if the Order is subsequently varied or modified within 6 months of the variation or modification coming into force.

If you wish to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 3 December 2014 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
