SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL
(MERLIN WAY) (WEIGHT RESTRICTION)
EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2013 EXTENSION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 14 January 2015 Swindon Borough Council extended the above Experimental Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to be operative from the 16 January 2015 until the 19 June 2015.

A copy of the Order and plan showing the extent of the restriction may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours or online on www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation.

The Experimental Order was made for 12 months from 19 December 2013 and the effect of the Order was implementation of a '7.5 tonnes' weight restriction on Merlin Way from the junction with Covingham Drive junction to the junction with Kingfisher Drive in both directions.

This Order is to be extended for a further 6 months to allow for an assessment of the representations received.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 14 January 2015 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
