SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL - QUEEN ELIZABETH DRIVE - WEIGHT RESTRICTION

SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL
(QUEEN ELIZABETH DRIVE)
(WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 2015


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 5th August 2015 Swindon Borough Council made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to be operative from the 10th August 2015 as a continuation of the experimental Order which has been in force since 29 January 2015
The effect of the Order is to introduce a '7.5 tonnes' weight restriction as follow:

Queen Elizabeth Drive
From a point 60 metres approx. east of its junction with Thamesdown Drive to its junction with Aiken Road.

Aiken Road
From its junction with Queen Elizabeth Drive for its entire length.

Casterbridge Road
From its junction with Queen Elizabeth Drive for its entire length to its junction with Torun Way.

Dydale Road
From its junction with Queen Elizabeth Drive to the junction with Melstock Road.

Melstock Road
From its junction with Dydale Road for its entire length to The Boulevard.

The Boulevard
From its junction with Melstock Road for its entire length to its junction with Queen Elizabeth Drive.

Access will be allowed for the conveyance of goods and merchandise to and from any premises situated on, adjacent to or any roads leading from those the above restricted roads, with the exception of vehicles travelling north on Queen Elizabeth Drive from the restricted south section who will be prohibited.

A copy of the Order, plan and statement of reasons may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 5 August 2015 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
