REGENT CIRCUS VARIOUS TRAFFIC ORDERS

Notice is HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council proposes to make the Orders specified below under the provisions of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Traffic Management Act 2004:

Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation) Order 2014 (Variation No. 28) 2015

Introduction of a Restrictive Parking Zone where waiting and loading will be prohibited at all time on the section of Regent Circus, Victoria Road and Crombey Street adjacent to the new Regent Circus Development and as indicated by zone entry and exit signs.

Introduction of Taxi Rank where waiting is prohibited at all times to all vehicles except for hackney carriages on the south side of Crombey Street and as indicated by markings and signs.

Introduction of Limited Waiting (Monday to Sunday, 20 minutes with no return within 1 hour) on the south side of Victoria Road and to the west of its junction with Bryon Street.

Introduce a variation to the Residents Parking for Zone E permit holders bays by increasing the length on the north side of Edmund Street for approx. 18 metres and 3.5 metres on the south side of Edmund Street.

Introduction of 'no waiting at any time' restriction on Byron Street from a point 36 metres sough of the junction with Victoria Road for a distance of 73 metres in an easterly direction.

From Victoria Road into Byron Street.

Swindon Borough Council (Prohibition of Entry) (Byron Street) Order 2015
Byron Street at a point approx. 30 metres west of its junction with Victoria Road for vehicles travelling in a eastern direction.

Swindon Borough Council (20mph Speed Limit) (Regent Circus) Order 2015
Introduction of a 20 mph zone on the section of Regent Circus, Victoria Road and Crombey Street adjacent to the new Regent Circus Development and as indicated by gateway signs.

The Swindon Borough Council (Bus Lanes, Bus Gates And Bus Only Roads) Order 2014 Amendment Order (No. 2) 2015
Introduction of a revised length of the bus only lane on Regent Circus from a point 31.4 metres of the eastern kerbline of Commercial Road and Regent Circus to the junction with Princes Street.
Introduction of a revised length of bus only lane on Princes Street from it junction with Regent Circus for a length of 65.5 metres.

Please note that the above restrictions have been implemented and these are administrative orders to allow the restrictions to be regulated.

A copy of the draft Orders, plans showing the extent of the lengths of the above restrictions and reasons for making the Orders may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon for 21 days from and online at www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation.

Objections or representations to the proposed Orders should be made in writing to reach the undersigned, quoting reference (za/Regent Circus Various TRO's) by no later than 4 December 2015.
