SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (LYDIARD PARK AND COATE WATER PARK) (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2016

Notice is HEREBY GIVEN that on 22nd June 2016 Swindon Borough Council made the above Order under sections 1,2 and 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") for the regulation of Lydiard Park and Coate Water as Off Street Parking Places with the introduction of Parking Charges as follow:

Parking Place
Lydiard Park

Car Parking Areas
The main car park area and overflow car park accessed via Hook Street. The car parks and approach road accessed via Hay Lane. Parking Areas to be indicated by signs.

Parking Charges
Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays)
Up to 2 hours - £2 Over 2 hours - £4
Season Ticket
£30 from 1 July 2016 to 31 March 2017 £45 for a 12 month period (non-refundable)

Parking Place
Coate Water Park

Car Parking Areas
All the main car parking areas including the access road as indicated by signs.

Parking Charges
Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays)
Up to 2 Hours - £1 Over 2 hours - £2
Season Ticket
£20 from 1 July 2016 to 31 March 2017 £30 for a 12 month period. (non-refundable)

Combined Season Ticket for use in Lydiard Park and Coate Water are available for £40 from 1 July 2016 to 31 March 2017 and £60 for a 12 month period (non-refundable).

Exemptions from parking charges at Lydiard Park and Coate Water include Motorcycles and Disabled Person's Badge (Blue Badge) holders.

Any vehicle parked in contravention of the above Order will be liable for a Penalty Charge Notice.

The Experimental Order has been made to allow for an assessment of the charges before a decision is taken on whether to make them permanent.

A copy of the Order and statement of the Council's reasons for making the experimental Order, may be examined during office hours or on line atwww.swindon.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders. Any person wishing to make representation to the

Order must do so in writing quoting the reference (ZA/Car Parking Charges/Lydiard and Coate) specifying the grounds on which they are made within 6 months of the Experimental Orders coming into force or if the Order is subsequently varied or modified within 6 months of the variation or modification coming into force.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 22nd June 2016 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
