NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER
CYCLE TRACKS ACT 1984

FOOTPATHS 281, 282, 647, 750, 751, 772, 774, 775 & 782 SWINDON CYCLE TRACKS ORDER 2016

On 28 August 2016 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under Section 3 of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to designate as cycle track that length of Footpath 647 Swindon situate at Shaw Ridge Linear Park and commencing at OS grid reference SU 11144 84731; the full length of Footpath 281 Swindon situate at Chandos Close and commencing at OS grid reference SU 11281 84647; the full length of Footpath 282 Swindon between Ascham Road and Freshbrook Way commencing at OS grid reference SU 11388 84360; that length of Footpath 751 Swindon between Whitehill Way and King Henry Drive commencing at OS grid reference SU 11145 83875; that length of Footpath 774 Swindon between King Henry Drive and Hillyard Close commencing at OS grid reference SU 10974 83871; that length of Footpath 775 Swindon situate at Loughborough Close and commencing at OS grid reference SU 10767 83942; that length of Footpath 772 Swindon between Hay Lane and Shaw Ridge Linear Park commencing at OS grid reference SU 11054 84325; and that length of Footpath 782 Swindon between Worsley Road and Whitehill Way commencing at OS grid reference SU 11127 83458.

A copy of the order and the order maps has been placed and may be seen free of charge at The One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £15.00.

The order comes into force on 18 October 2016, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any Regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under subsection 6 of Section 3 of the Act, within 28 days from the date of this order make an application to the High Court.
