NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER CYCLE TRACKS ACT 1984 SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL FOOTPATHS 113, 386, 387, 389, 397, 523 & 526 SWINDON CYCLE TRACKS ORDER 2016

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER CYCLE TRACKS ACT 1984 SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL FOOTPATHS 113, 386, 387, 389, 397, 523 & 526 SWINDON CYCLE TRACKS ORDER 2016

On 5 October 2016 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under Section 3 of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to designate as cycle track that length of Footpath 386 Swindon situate at Old Mill Lane and commencing at OS grid reference SU16001 83538; that length of Footpath 113 Swindon between Old Mill Lane and Lakeside commencing at OS grid reference SU16029 83523; that length of Footpath 387 Swindon between Lakeside and Dorchester Road commencing at OS grid reference SU16281 83459; that length of Footpath 389 Swindon between Falmouth Grove and Highclere Avenue commencing at OS grid reference SU16459 83868; that length of Footpath 397 Swindon between Sandringham Road and Buckingham Road commencing at OS grid reference SU16895 83178; that length of Footpath 523 Swindon between Buckingham Road and Queen's Drive commencing at OS grid reference SU17057 83221; and that length of Footpath 526 Swindon situate at Queen's Drive and commencing at OS grid reference SU17527 83024.

A copy of the order and the order maps has been placed and may be seen free of charge at The One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and maps may be bought there at the price of £15.00.

The order comes into force on 1 December 2016 but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any Regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under subsection 6 of Section 3 of the Act, within 28 days from the date of this order make an application to the High Court.
