Swindon Borough Council - Speed Limits
Swindon Borough Council (various roads, Castle Eaton) (30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2012 and Swindon Borough Council (Sevenhampton) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2012
Notice is hereby given that on the 11 April 2012 Swindon Borough Council made the above Orders under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be as follow:
30 MPH speed limit on the following roads in Castle Eaton
School Lane 73 metres south west of its junction with The Street in a north easterly direction for its full length
Church View from a point 10 metres south east of the property West Furlong in a north westerly direction for its full length
The Street from its junction with School Lane for its full length
Long Row from its junction with The Street to the junction of School Lane
Un-named Road from the junction of The Street for a distance of 130 metres in a north westerly direction
40 MPH speed limit on the following roads in Sevenhampton
Sevenhampton Lane East (C142) from the existing 30 (restricted road / limit) for a distance of 400 metres in a north easterly direction
(C141) Locally Known as Highworth Road from the existing 30 (restricted road / limit) for a distance of 460 metres in a south westerly direction
The Order will be operative as of 16 April 2012 and a copy of the sealed Order and plan may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during opening hours.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 11 April 2012 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
