The Chesters, Shaw Road, Dixon Way and Stonehill Green - Experimental Order

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 30th May 2012 Swindon Borough Council made an Experimental Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to be operative from the 8 June 2012 for the duration of 12 months.

The effect of the Order is to impose ’no waiting at any time’ restriction along the following roads:

The Chesters, Shaw Road, Dixon Way and Stonehill Green

A copy of the Order and plan showing the extent of the restriction on each of the above roads may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours or online on www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation

The Experimental Order has been made after development of the area and to facilitate the passage for emergency services.

Any person wishing to make representations whether to object or support the Order before it is made permanent must do so in writing quoting the reference (TRO/EXP NO1 2012/Westlea) specifying the grounds on which they are made within 6 months of this experimental Order coming into force or if the Order is subsequently varied or modified within 6 months of the variation or modification coming into force.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 30 May 2012 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
