Swindon Borough council - Temporary Closure Orders

Swindon Borough Council (Pentylands Lane, Highworth) (Temporary Closure) Order 2012

Notice is hereby given Swindon Borough Council proposes to make the above Order under the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, to close Pentylands Lane, Highworth to allow for new foul drainage and street works. Access for residents to be maintained. 

The Order will come into force on the 3 September 2012 and will remain in force for 6 months although works are expected to finish on the 31 November 2012.

Swindon Borough Council (Rodbourne Road) (Temporary Closure) Order 2012

Notice is hereby given Swindon Borough Council proposes to make the above Order under the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, for the temporary closure of a section of Rodbourne Road from after its junction with the Bus Only Lane adjacent to the Outlet Centre West Car Park to before its junction with Dean Street.

Alternative Route is via Kemble Drive, Bruce Street Bridge Roundabout, Great Western Way, Wootton Bassett Road, Westcott Place, Park Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into force on the 17 September 2012 for 12 months but the closure will be in place over 5 weeks with work taking place overnight from Monday to Friday during the hours of 11.45 pm to 6am.

Swindon Borough Council (Hughes Street and St. Albans Close) (Temporary Restriction) Order 2012

Notice is hereby given Swindon Borough Council proposes to make the above Order under the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, to introduce a temporary ‘No Waiting and Loading At Any Time’ on Hughes Street and St Albans Close.

The restrictions will be indicated by the use of traffic signs and cones.

Any contravention to the above restrictions will be issued with a PCN in accordance with the Traffic management Act 2004, s.78, Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) General Regulations 2007 and Civil Enforcement of Parking contraventions (England) Representations and Appeals Regulations 2007

The Order will come into force on the 24 September 2012 for 6 months but the restriction will only be in force on the 25 September 2012 from 9 am to 3 pm to facilitate the safe passage of a wide load HGV.
