SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL (OLD TOWN, SWINDON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION) ORDER 2012

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN Swindon Borough Council made the above Order under the provisions of Section 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, to impose the following closures and restrictions to facilitate traffic attending the Swindon Mela on the 25 August 2012 from 9am to 8pm.

Roads to be CLOSED and introduction of ‘NO WAITING AT ANY TIME’ restriction (except Residents)

Belmont Crescent, Quarry Road, Grovelands Avenue, St Margarets Road, Winifred Street, Roman Crescent, Hesketh Crescent and Marlborough Lane (part).

Road subject to NO ENTRY’ AND ‘ONE WAY’ traffic

To Westlecot Road from Croft Road

Westlecot Road to be one way in an easterly direction from its junction with Goddard Avenue to its junction with Croft Road

Road subject to ‘No Waiting and Loading At Any Time’ restriction:

Westlecot Road (North side) The length from its junction with Roman Crescent up to its junction with The North Quarries.

Westlecot Road (South Side) The length from its junction with Belmont Crescent (opposite Roman Crescent) up to its junction with Grovelands Avenue.

All restrictions and diversions will be indicated by signs.

Any contravention to the above restrictions will be issued with a PCN in accordance with the Traffic management Act 2004, s.78, Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) General Regulations 2007 and Civil Enforcement of Parking contraventions (England) Representations and Appeals Regulations 2007
