SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL - VARIOUS TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council made an Order under Section 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the temporary closure of the roads listed below to allow for resurfacing works and other highway works to be take place.

Road or Highway Closed: *Downton Road including suspension of one way
Duration of Closure: Over 2 Sundays
Alternative Route: Local Diversion to be posted on site

Road or Highway Closed: Ferndale Road between North Star Avenue and Whitehouse Road including the junction
Duration of Closure: Over 1 Sunday
Alternative Route: Via Whitehouse Rd, Great Western Way, North Star Avenue or via Northern Rd, Beech Ave, Pinehurst Rd and vice versa

Road or Highway Closed: Ferndale Tregoze Way between Tewkesbury Way and Wilmot Close
Duration of Closure: Over 2/3 days only
Alternative Route: Via Tewkesbury Way, Whitehill Way, Grange Park Way, Hay Lane and vice versa

Road or Highway Closed: Corton Crescent between Whitehill Way and Rivenhall Road
Duration of Closure: Over 2/3 days working from 6pm to 6am

Duration of Closure: Over 2/3 days only
Alternative Route: Via Westlecot Rd, Croft Rd, Backhorse Way and vice versa

Duration of Closure: Over 2/3 days overnight
Alternative Route: Inbound via Westcott Place And Outbound via Bath Road

Road or Highway Closed: *High Street, Blunsdon between Ermin Street and Hatchers Crescent
Duration of Closure: Over 2/3 days
Alternative Route: Via Ermin Str, Cricklade Rd, Sams Lane and vice versa

Advance notification for each of the above road closure will take place on site at least 14 days before any closures comes into effect.

Access to be maintained where possible. Any closure above marked with a * will also be subject to a temporary No Waiting and Loading At Any Time Restrictions which will be indicated on site with signs and traffic cones.

Any contravention to the waiting and loading restrictions will be issued with a PCN in accordance with the Traffic management Act 2004, s.78, Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) General Regulations 2007 and Civil Enforcement of Parking contraventions (England) Representations and Appeals Regulations 2007

The Order will come into force on the 26 August 2012 and will remain in force for 18 months.
