Swindon Borough Council - Experimental Order, Waiting and loading Restrictions

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 13 September 2012 Swindon Borough Council made an Experimental Order underthe Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to be operative from the 20 September 2012 for the duration of 12 months.

The effect of the Order is to remove 22 metres of 'no waiting at any time' restrictions at 3 locations along the south side of Okus Road.

The effect of the Order is to impose 'no waiting at any time' restrictions on Angel Ridge as follow: Portland Avenue (West Side) the existing no waiting at any time restriction to be extended for a distance of 5.85 metres in a southerly direction. Portland Avenue and Pasteur Drive junction Pasteur Drive leading to Celsus Drive junction Curie Avenue (east and west side) at both access junctions.

This Order will also incorporate for administrative purposes the revision of the waiting restriction at the new junctions, Curie Avenue and Celsus Grove, and the removal of the restrictions which lead to the entrances of the old hospital site to revise the schedules on the parkmap system used for recording waiting restrictions in Swindon.

A copy of the Order and plan showing the extent of the restriction on each of the above roads may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during normal office hours or online on www.swindon.gov.uk/highwayregulation.

The Experimental Order has been made to prevent cars parking at junctions in Angel Ridge and to introduce a traffic management scheme in Okus Road.

Any person wishing to make representations whether to object or support the Order before it is made permanent must do so in writing quoting the reference (TRO/EXP NO 2 2012/Okus Rd) specifying the grounds on which they are made within 6 months of this experimental Order coming into force or if the Order is subsequently varied or modified within 6 months of the variation or modification coming into force.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 13 September 2012 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
