Notice is Given that on the 10 October 2012 Swindon Borough Council made the above Orders under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will a reduction in the speed limit from 50 mph to 40mph on Highworth Road and Kingsdown Road as follow:

Highworth Road 20 metres north of the Honda North Roundabout to approx. 50 metres north of the Vickers Roundabout including the circulatory carriageway of the Vickers Roundabout for a distance of approx. 700 metres in length.

Kingsdown Road From the junction with Vickers Roundabout for a distance 57.7 metres in a westerly direction.
The following Orders are to be revoked and re-enacted in the above Orders:

Swindon Borough Council (A361 Highworth Road and Supermarine Roundabout, Swindon) (50 mph Speed Limit) Order 2011

Swindon Borough Council (Highworth Road, Honda Link Road, Honda North and Rat Trap Roundabouts, Swindon) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2011

Swindon Borough Council (Kingsdown Road and Vickers Roundabout, Swindon) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2011

The Order will be operative as of 15 October 2012 and a copy of the sealed Orders and plans may be inspected at the One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during opening hours for 6 weeks from the date of this notice.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 10 October 2012 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
