A DOCUMENTARY will be shown this week about the murder of a Wiltshire teenager.
On Thursday the Channel 5 series Killer at the Crime Scene will discuss the murder of Ellie Gould, 17, who was stabbed in the neck at least 13 times with a kitchen knife by Thomas Griffiths.
Thomas, then 17, was jailed for a minimum of 12 and a half years by Mr Justice Garnham at Bristol Crown Court in November 2019 after being convicted of Ellie's murder.
It is said that Griffiths murdered his ex-girlfriend, Ellie on May 3, 2019, after she ended the relationship in favour of focussing on her studies.
After Griffiths was sentenced, Ellie's parents petitioned the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and the Attorney General to increase his time in prison.
They claimed it was overly lenient in light of the "severity and savagery with which she died".
Her parents, Carole and Matthew, were advised that the case would not be sent to the Court of Appeal.
Carole told the Daily Mail it "is so wrong" that he "has already served a quarter of his sentence", questioning: "What justice?
The Killer at the Crime scene episode about Ellie Gould will air on 5star on Thursday (August 25) at 9pm and will be available to stream on My5 from the autumn.
