EVERYONE loves a good pub and Swindon certainly has plenty of them - but which one is the best of the best?
They are at the heart of our communities, they connect us with friends new and old, they can be a familiar comfort in turbulent times, and create some of our fondest memories - or some nights we don't remember at all...
After a tough few years for the hospitality industry, the Adver is celebrating the town's taverns and wants to know why your favourite should be crowned the winner.
People like them for all sorts of different reasons - the atmosphere, the selection of alcohol on offer, the slap-up meals and Sunday dinners, the friendly staff, the location and layout, or because it's the ideal place to watch a match - but the true cream of the crop has to excel at everything.
The area is definitely not short of choices for the best boozer, whether it's part of a chain like those owned by Swindon's longstanding beer-brewers Arkells or one of the many independent pubs dotted around Old Town and the town's outskirts.
It could be your loyal local just down the road or one further afield that's so good you make an extra effort to pop in for a special occasion - let us know!

In the coming weeks, the Adver will publish the top 10 results along with a coupon for each one which must be cut out and sent in.
The pub which has the most coupons sent in will be declared the winner of our competition.
Swindon Advertiser editor Daniel Chipperfield said it was important to celebrate the town’s pubs as they are an important part of society.
“For hundreds of years pubs have been at the heart of the community,” he said.
“And while they might have changed in appearance and style over the years, they still hold that important role for us here in Swindon. That’s why we are looking for everyone’s absolute favourite.
“Whether it’s the classic working men’s pub, a gastro delight or simply a great place for a party, we want as many people as possible to shout about their local watering hole and why it should be considered one of the town’s best.”
