Amanda Franks, 39, director of Frankly Recruitment and The Gig to Remember, tells us about her life with food...
Do you cook a lot yourself? What is your failsafe dish?
I’m a functional cook so yes, I cook regularly, but nothing overly creative. Roast dinner is my failsafe dish.
Where do you like to eat out? How often?
I love eating out at least once a week. Casa Paolo in Purton or the Weighbridge are my favourites for a special occasion or the Tawny Owl for a weekday meal or Sunday roast.
What do you always hope to find on a menu? For starter? Main course? Dessert?
I try never to order food I have had before. I like to try new things, so I hate to see the same thing across menus. I do love baked brie and chutney for a starter, a quality rare cooked steak and a banoffi pie would be perfect!
Which foods did you hate as a child? Do you eat them now?
Liver and sprouts. I still intensely dislike liver and sprouts and my dad will still hide a sprout on my plate on Christmas Day!
What’s your favourite drink? Alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
Bacardi and Diet Coke and a good cup of tea.
Marmite: yes or no?
Yes, sparingly.
What’s your guilty pleasure when it comes to food...something you know you shouldn’t eat, but do anyway?
Chip shop chips and curry sauce!
You are on your own at home watching a film. What is your snack of choice?
Posh ice cream.
You are eating a bacon sandwich... ketchup, brown sauce or nothing at all?
Ketchup, or real butter on the bread and no sauce.
