FOLLOW the fantastical adventures of Alice through the Looking Glass during a live theatre show at Lydiard Park.
Quantum Theatre will be performing an adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic in the beautiful surroundings of the park from 6.30pm tomorrow.
The story follows Alice’s adventures in a world laid out in the form of a giant chess board. Before long she finds herself entering the game as a white pawn and we follow her as she travels across the board until she is crowned queen at the eighth square.
Along the way she encounters some of Carroll’s most memorable characters and the piece is filled with many of his finest nonsense poems and songs.
Alistair Brown, who stars in the show, said: “There is something in the show for people of all ages from the very young to the very old. It is very much a family orientated show.
“There is quite sophisticated humour in the show, as well as madcap adventures and larger than life characters.”
Tickets are £14 for adults or £10 for children from 01793 524481 or swindontheatres.co.uk. – Emma Dunn
