A TEENAGER has pleaded guilty to a charge of a multiple incident counts of sexual activity with a child.

Ian Josiah Sidney, 19, formerly of Galloway Road, Swindon, changed his plea during a trial at Swindon Crown Court last week.

The court heard that he is alleged to use aliases including Sam Boid, Sammy Boid, Ryan Boid, Joey Sidney, Josiah Sidney, Samantha and Angela McDough.

Sidney met his 14-year-old victim on a bus before assaulting her. The offences took place in Swindon during September 2012.

He will be sentenced at Swindon Crown Court on September 27.

Detective Constable Gemma Vinton, who investigated the case, said: “The victim showed great courage in giving evidence in court, which has no doubt contributed to the successful outcome in this case."
