CHILDREN at Wootton Bassett Infant School can make the most of their break time after a donation from Taylor Wimpey helped to fund new outdoor play equipment.
The pupils can now enjoy a look-out tower with ladders and a sandpit, a play store shed, a ‘jungle’ with tiered stages which will be used at playtime and for drama lessons, and water play equipment for the younger children.
The housebuilder, which is building new homes at its nearby Jubilee Park development in Wootton Bassett, donated £500 towards the cost of the play facilities.
Headteacher Mark Hazzard said: “We had limited play equipment before, but when you have 100 children running around the playground, they need things to do.
“We are grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their donation. The children are excited about their new playground and will much enjoy reaping the benefits.”
Charlie Joseph, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, said: “We’re delighted to be able to help the children at Wootton Bassett Infant School make the most of their playtime and hope they get many years of enjoyment from their new playground equipment.”
