A JUDGE has issued a warrant for the arrest of a robber who is said to have failed to comply with the terms of his suspended sentence.
Daniel Brown was put on a one-year jail term suspended for 18 months after admitting robbing a man in Gorse Hill a year ago.
But the 23-year-old failed to turn up at Swindon Crown Court yesterday where he is accused of breaching the terms of the suspended sentence.
Rob Ross, defending, said: “When I was aware he was on the list yesterday I spoke to his mother and her partner who told me they would try and get hold of him.
“They were probably as successful as me. He is supposed to be living at his aunt’s. His mum is not here and she is normally here dragging him.”
Issuing a warrant without bail Judge Douglas Field said: “Having read all this paperwork I am not surprised he is not here.”
It is the second alleged breach after Brown, of Botley Copse, Peatmoor, admitted failing to attend supervision sessions in November last year.
He was ordered to do a course in education, training and employment on top of a drug rehabilitation requirement.
