A TEENAGE cyclist who was involved in a collision with a lorry on Friday evening remains in hospital but is expected to make a full recovery.
The 19-year-old male was rushed to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol in a critical condition after being knocked unconscious in the collision, which took place in Faringdon Road.
Doctors have said they do not believe his injuries are either life threatening or life altering and do not believe there will be any long term damage.
He suffered internal injuries and will remain in hospital for several days but he is expected to leave later this week.
The incident occurred at the junction with Farnsby Street and Emlyn Square shortly before 4pm, involving the bike and a six-wheel white lorry.
Wiltshire Police are investigating the cause of the crash and have asked for any witnesses with information to contact them on 101.
